The BOP – Bologna Prize for the Best Children’s Publishers of the Year is awarded annually to highlight excellent publishing houses from all over the world. The award is split into 6 global regions, and Australian publishing houses, like Wild Dog Books, fall into the Oceania region.
What makes it so special is that the prize is given by the publishers themselves who are asked to nominate those publishing houses that have stood out in terms of their creativity, innovation and the quality of their editorial choices.
Wild Dog Books was honoured to make the shortlist in 2026 and extends its sincerest congratulations to Messy Press from New Zealand for taking out the top prize.
