Wild Dog Books, Jasmine Seymour and Leanne Jones launched Possum Skin Cloak and Sleeping in the Land at the Hawkesbury Library on Sunday 9th August. A beautiful day of culture and community was opened by the Hon. Susan Templeman MP, followed by speeches from author of Sleeping in the Land, the award-winning Jasmine Seymour and the illustrator from Possum Skin Cloak, contemporary artist Leanne Jones. Dharug dancers treated the attendees to a wonderful performance of Dharug culture while prints of the artwork from Possum Skin Cloak were available to purchase.
Thank you to all who came along to celebrate these beautiful, important First Nations picture books!
